ZAGREB, May 9 (Hina) - A Croatian saxophonist Sasa Nestorovic is the first Croatian musician to have played in concerts of the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) Big Band on May 29 and 30 in Montreal and Quebec. The concerts were held
on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the birth of a famous 20th century American musician, Duke Ellington. The EBU had made the decision on the Canada concerts two years ago, Nestorovic said, adding Croatia was among 13 other countries which had been invited to send their musicians to play along with the EBU Big Band. Nestorovic announced that CDs with the Canada concerts would be released soon. Along with the sax, Nestorovic plays the clarinet and is a composer. He is also a member of the Zagreb sax quartet and the Croatian Radio Television (HRT) Big Band. (hina) rml
