ZAGREB, May 7 (Hina) - Croatian Interior Minister Ivan Penic and representatives of the "Bombardier inc. Canada" on Friday signed an agreement on purchasing a "canadair CL 415" fire-fighting plane. Penic also signed an agreement with
the Canadian investment promotion agency "Export Development Corporation" on a US$25- million loan for the purchase of the plane. According to the contract, the "Bombardier inc. Canada" will deliver the fifth "canadair" to Croatia next year. The fourth plane, which Croatia purchased from the company last year, will be handed over next month. Before the Homeland War, Croatia had four "canadair" planes which had been seized by the then Yugoslav Army, Penic said. Also present at the signing ceremony were the Canadian Ambassador to Croatia, Donald W. Smith, and the Commander of the Croatian Air Force, General Josip Culetic.(hina) it/rml
