ZAGREB, Apr 16 (Hina) - An exhibition of glassware from the time of the Roman empire found on the territory of present-day Croatia will open in the Italian town of Ancona on Friday. The "Roman Glass in Croatia" exhibition features 250
pieces of glass dating back to the period between the first and fourth centuries. The display at Ancona's Mole Vanvitalliana fort will also feature 12 portraits in stone, 47 gold and silver coins, cosmetic kits, and two gravestones from Dalmatia and Panonia, regions in southern and eastern Croatia. Most of the exhibits were submitted by the Archaeological Museum of Zadar, a town along Croatia's central Adriatic, which is also the Croatian organiser of the exhibition, with participation of the Archaeological Museum of Zagreb, and a dozen other Croatian museums and private collections.
