CHICAGO, Apr 8 (Hina) - The presidents of the Chambers of Commerce
of Croatia and Chicago on Thursday signed a cooperation agreement
in Chicago, with the aim to contribute to the development of overall
trade and economic relations between Croatia and the United
States.
The two chambers will in particular promote joint investments, the

This is the first agreement of its kind which Croatia's Chamber of
Commerce (HGK) has signed with an American counterpart. The signing
took place as part of the "Croatia in Chicago" manifestation.
The president of the Chicago chamber, Gerald Roper, assessed there
exist major possibilities for business cooperation and trade,
especially for small and medium firms, and in tourism.
Roper said the Chicago Chamber of Commerce will incite U.S.
businessmen to trade, invest in, and cooperate in other ways with
Croatian businessmen.
HGK president Nadan Vidosevic expressed satisfaction that he had
been able to sign a cooperation agreement with a U.S. chamber of
commerce after some 40 signed with countries around the world.
"We believe this will give fresh impetus to the overall, and
especially economic relations between our two countries,"
Vidosevic said.
