added he wished to see this cooperation in a concrete
implementation of these programmes.
Europe must stop playing with words and think more about
investments in the region, because our financial resources are
limited, Meidani stressed.
He added a rational solution for the situation in the Balkans should
be found by introducing some king of Marshall plan for the
development of infrastructure, economy and a better life.
The creation of a third Europe would be a bad concept, he stressed
Speaking about Kosovo, Meidani said the most important thing at the
moment was to stop bloodshed and ethnic cleansing and stop the wave
of refugees from Kosovo.
There are currently more than 25,000 Kosovo Albanian refugees in
Albania.
If an agreement is signed in Rambouillet, the international
community will exert efforts in its implementation, which is not
possible without the presence of NATO, Meidani said.
