MOSTAR, March 1 (Hina) - General Pierre Lang on Monday handed over his duty as commander of Stabilisation Force's (SFOR) Multi-National Division South-East to French General Arnold Schwerdorffer, former commander of UN Protection
Force in Bosnia-Herzegovina in 1995. Present at the ceremony at the airport near Mostar (south Bosnia-Herzegovina) was SFOR main commander, US General Montgomery Meigs. Lang said the division cooperated successfully with international organisations and local authorities to establish an atmosphere of mutual trust and peace as the cornerstone for a strong and long-lasting reconstruction of Bosnia-Herzegovina. Meigs thanked Lang for his contribution to the safe return of refugees to Stolac, Capljina, Vrapcici, Gorazde, Mostar and other locations.
