SINJ, Feb 20 (Hina) - Chinese nationals who illegally entered Croatia on Thursday, have been given a reprimand and must leave the country, according to a decision of a magistrate in the Croatian town of Sinj, the hinterland of Split.
A group of 24 Chinese were caught by Croatian police during a regular patrol of the Trilj-Imotski road in Dalmatia on Thursday. They were hidden in a refrigerated truck with the Zagreb licence plates which the police stopped on the road near the village of Caorica. When asked by the police to show the cargo, the truck driver claimed that he was transporting meat products and could not open one of two doors at the refrigirator-trailer. This aroused policemen's suspicions and they asked the driver to move the truck into the yard of the Sinj police station.
