PRISTINA, Jan 27 (Hina) - Serb forces clashed with members of the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) near Vucitrn and Podujevo in the southern Yugoslav province of Kosovo, Serbian and Albanian sources reported on Wednesday. According to the
local committee for human rights, Serb police forces opened fire in the village of Nevoljane, 30km west of Pristina. The Serb-run Media Centre in Pristina said the KLA members opened fire on several Serb houses in the village on Wednesday, after which the Serb police responded by firing back. The Kosovo Information Centre (KIC) reported that strong police forces were present on the streets of Vucitrna, and blocked four local roads. The same source reported that the Serb forces on Wednesday started an offensive on eight villages in western parts of the Podujevo municipality. So far, no details have been reported.
