PLOCE PORT AND ZENICA IRONWORKS DO DEAL PLOCE, Jan 21 (Hina) - The port of Ploce, southern Croatia, and the ironworks of Zenica, central Bosnian, signed a contract under which the Zenica ironworks paid more than three million German
marks (approximately US$1.8 million) for the import and transhipment of over 240,000 tonnes of iron bars. The contract was signed by the directors of the Port and the Ironworks, Ivica Pavlovic and Hamdija Kulovic respectively, on Wednesday in Ploce. The signing of the contract strengthened the economic cooperation of the two towns, and contributed to the implementation of the Agreement on the Special Relations between Croatia and the Federation of Bosnia-Herzegovina, Kulovic said. Pavlovic was also satisfied with the deal, and accentuated the importance of the co-operation between the two countries and, in particular, between these two towns.(hina) ms
