ZAGREB, Jan 19 (Hina) - Croatian Reconstruction and Development Minister Jure Radic and Tourism Minister Sergej Morsan held talks in Zagreb on Tuesday about the possibility of vacating hotels in which Croatian displaced persons are
accommodated and preparing them for the tourist season. There are still about 4,500 displaced persons in hotels. About 1,900 of them could return to their homes, but have as yet not done so. A decision will be made according to which the Government Office for Refugees and Displaced Persons would no longer provide financial assistance for the care of these people, and the Government will be mooted measures for their expedited return, the reconstruction and Development Minister said in a statement after the talks. Minister Jure Radic and Tourism Minister Sergej Morsan held talks
in Zagreb on Tuesday about the possibility of vacating hotels in
which Croatian displaced persons are accommodated and preparing
them for the tourist season.
There are still about 4,500 displaced persons in hotels. About
1,900 of them could return to their homes, but have as yet not done
so. A decision will be made according to which the Government Office
for Refugees and Displaced Persons would no longer provide

Government will be mooted measures for their expedited return, the
reconstruction and Development Minister said in a statement after
the talks.
Displaced persons in hotels who are awaiting the reconstruction of
their homes will either remain in the hotels or will be accommodated
otherwise, so the hotels could be prepared for the upcoming tourist
season.
The Reconstruction and Development Ministry will set as a priority
towns and houses to which displaced persons could return before the
summer, the statement said.
