SPLIT SPLIT, Jan 16 (Hina) - An international architects' convention was held in the southern Croatian seaport of Split on Saturday. The convention, organised by the Split City authorities and the Split Architects' Society, focused on
finding an architectural solution for one of the city's most important areas, the eastern part of the city harbour, which is close to the historic Diocletian's Palace. A final solution for the area in question had been delayed for three decades, according to Split City Council president Ivo Simunovic, because of the area's proximity to the Diocletian's palace, to which the public and experts in both Croatia and the world are understandably sensitive. In attendance were eminent architects from Croatia, Spain, Denmark, and Italy.(hina) ha
