ILOK MARKS ANNIVERSARY OF UNTAES DEPARTURE ILOK, Jan 15 (Hina) - A public panel was held on Friday in Ilok (the easternmost Croatian town) on the occasion of the seventh anniversary of Croatia's international recognition and the first
anniversary of UNTAES departure from eastern Croatia. Ilok mayor Stipan Kraljevic said that 3,200 persons had returned to the town so far, while about the same number were waiting to return. During 1998, 400 out of 1,900 houses damaged during the war, were repaired. Although the Ministry of Reconstruction and Development has still not announced the number of houses it is going to reconstruct this year, the town administration wishes for the reconstruction of at least 250 houses with IV to VI damage degrees, Kraljevic said.(hina) mm rml ,
