ZAGREB, Dec 28 (Hina) - Croatian electrical equipment concern Koncar's sales in this year's first 11 months totalled 1.08 billion kuna ($133 million), which is five percent less than over the same period of time last year and eight
percent less than planned. Foreign market sales account for 43% of the entire sales, sources at the concern said on Thursday. Sales of goods and services on the domestic market totalled 619 million kuna ($76.4m), which is seven percent more than over Jan.-Nov. last year. Forty five percent of the entire sale was made to HEP, the national power supply company, 30% more than in 1999. The worst result on the domestic market came from sales to public companies, with 65% percent of last year's and only 20% of the planned figure. This year, 70% percent of the entire export was made to ten
countries, with 203.5 million kuna ($25.12m), or 51%, realised in
Bosnia, Slovenia, Germany, the Czech Republic, Austria, and
France.
Sources at Koncar estimate they will close the year with sales of
1.19 billion kuna ($147m), seven percent less than last year and six
percent less than planned. Against 1999, sales on the domestic
market are expected to increase by two, but fall by 16% on the
foreign market.
