ZAGREB, Dec 27 (Hina) - Businessman Goran Strok will be the majority owner of Dubrovnik's Excelsior hotel, the Croatian Privatisation Fund management board decided on Wednesday. Five bids were submitted in an international invitation
to bid for the sale of 407,095 shares of the company, with the nominal value of 100 kuna per share (86.07% of the company's stock capital), of which Strok's bid was assessed as the most favourable. The bidder, the HFP reported, is ready to pay 4.7 million kuna for the shares and upon the signing of a contract provide financial cover for government liabilities on the basis of issued government guarantees worth DM 35 million. The transaction will be carried out through a commercial bank, which will issue an unconditional guarantee to the benefit of the creditor thus replacing the state guarantee.(hina) rml
