In the morning they were welcomed at the Zagreb Central Railway
Station by Scouts who came from all parts of Croatia, and were
greeted by the brass band of the city's public transport company
(ZET).
After that the Scouts with the Light headed towards the Cathedral
where Zagreb Auxiliary Bishop Vlado Kosic welcomed them and lit
lanterns for every Croatian diocese with this Light.
Lantern-bearers departed from Zagreb to their destinations on
trains.
The organiser of this event, sponsored by the parliamentary family
and youth committee, is the Scout unit from Koprivnica, called
'Kamengrad'.
The Croatian Scouts attended Saturday's ceremony of the European
welcome of the Bethlehem Light, which took place in the Austrian
capital. Croatian Ambassador in Vienna, Drazen Vukov Colic, and the
cultural attach?, Gertruda Stamac, joined them in the Maria Geburt
Church on that occasion.
