PARLIAMENT ENDS AUTUMN SESSION AND FIRST YEAR OF ITS MANDATE

ZAGREB, Dec 15 (Hina) - The Croatian Parliament's House of Representatives on Friday night ended its autumn session, completing its first year since parliamentary elections this January. Parliament speaker Zlatko Tomcic will call a new session in mid-January of next year. In a speech held after today's Lower House session, Tomcic stressed the current Parliament had been very busy in the first half of the year, of which a significant part had been completed. "How this work was done will be decided by the voters," he added. The Lower House Friday unanimously adopted amendments to the Law on Utility Management, Law on the State Judicial Council and amendments to the Law on Courts. The House also adopted conclusions that the Government should within four months suggest new laws on courts, State Prosecutor's Office, State Judicial Council and the State Attorney's Council.
