ZAGREB, Dec 13 (Hina) - The Croatian Reconstruction and Development
Bank (HBOR) on Wednesday presented three new loan programmes.
The first, providing loans for the restructuring of companies, HBOR
management board chairman said, would, through long-term
favourable loans, assist business people to establish a financial
balance and success of business, to enable further investments.
The second programme, loans for the tourist sector, is actually a
different version of the HBOR's programme of loans for preparations
of the tourist season which the Bank has been implementing since
1996. The main difference is that the loans will no longer be time
restricted.
The programme of stimulating small-scale entreprenneurship in
areas of special government care is a substitute for the programme
of direct loans which the HBOR had until now been implementing in
cooperation with the Croatian Guarantee Agency and county economy
offices. The reason for cancelling the old programme is the
dissatisfying cooperation of the county offices.
The new programme extends the maturity of the loans to 12 years.
