ZAGREB, Dec 12 (Hina) - A parliament vice-president and president of the Committee on Foreign Affairs, Zdravko Tomac, met Italy's Minister of Industry and Foreign Trade Enrico Letta, in Zagreb on Tuesday, the Sabor's public relations
office reported. At the beginning of talks the Italian official said the economic relations between the two countries were continually improving and expressed an interest in Croatia's efforts to join the European Union and the situation in the region. Tomac told his guest Italy was Croatia's strategic partner in "its developing, along with its Central European and Balkan dimensions, a Mediterranean dimension as well." Establishing links with Austria and Italy would contribute to the process of Europeanisation of Croatia, Tomac said.(hina) rml
