The Assembly, which is holding a session in the Austrian town of
Cairnes, has along with the Sibenik cathedral inscribed another 60
monuments from all over the world on the World Heritage List,
Croatia's ambassador to UNESCO Vesna Girardi Jurkic told Hina over
the phone on Thursday.
According to Girardi Jurkic, the Assembly had previously adopted a
positive report about the Sibenik cathedral, compiled by ICOMOS, a
non-governmental expert group on galleries and museums, as well as
a report by the UNESCO Executive Council.
Other sites in Croatia which have been included in the World
Heritage List include the Old City of Dubrovnik, Split's Palace of
Diocletian, Plitvice Lakes National Park, the Euphresian Basilica
in Porec, and the Historic City of Trogir.
