LJUBLJANA, Nov 21 (Hina) - Slovene President Milan Kucan on Tuesday sent a letter of gratitude to French President Jacques Chirac for an invitation to participate at this Friday's Zagreb Summit, and explained why he could not attend
the conference. According to the Slovene Radio which on Tuesday cited parts of Kucan's letter, the Slovene President said the current Slovene government had reached a decision that only the foreign minister should attend the conference, although Kucan had suggested Slovene's Prime Minister attend. Kucan thanked Chirac for his invitation, stressing he had accepted France's initiative for the Summit with satisfaction, adding this was the right time for the European Union to initiate the process of stabilisation and accession for Albania, Croatia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Mžacedonia and Yugoslavia.
