RIJEKA RIJEKA, Nov 15 (Hina) - South African Ambassador Dries Venter on Wednesday held talks with Rijeka Mayor Vojko Obersnel about the possibility for the Republic of South Africa to intensify economic and other relations with
Croatia and the Rijeka area. Venter said he wished to provide reliable information about Croatia for his country as the information on Croatia broadcast by CNN was often misleading. The ambassador was particularly interested in cooperation with the Rijeka port, shipbuilding industry, tourism, and cooperation in the wood-processing industry. During his first visit to Rijeka, the South African ambassador also visited the Rijeka port and the shipyard Viktor Lenac.(hina) rml
