PULA, Nov 14 (Hina) - Assistant Defence Minister Ivan Kozlica and the head of the British Arms Control Directorate section "Open Skies", Lieutenant Michael Kennedy, discussed the first test overflight of the British plane 'Andover' in
Croatia's air space in line with the Treaty on 'Open Skies' monitoring overflights, in Pula on Tuesday. Participating in the Treaty, which has been signed by 25 states, is a number of countries non-signatories, including Croatia. Representatives of the Croatian Defence Ministry have so far attended a number of lectures and several monitoring overflights as observers. The Treaty has still not gone into force as it is yet to be ratified by the Russian and Ukrainian parliaments. seemingly a small step, but an important one toward Croatia's Euro-
Atlantic integration and a clear signal of the intention to solve
all problems and conflicts in the region and Europe in a peaceful
manner.
