ZAGREB, Nov 11 (Hina) - Retails prices, along with seasonal products, in October this year increased by 0.6 percent on the average as against September and 7.3 percent as against the same month last year, the State Institute for
Statistics reported. According to the same source, living costs in October rose by 0.7 percent as against September and seven percent in comparison to October 1999. In relation to October 1999, the prices of goods and services increased by 7.9 and 5.2 percent respectively. Tobacco products registered the highest increase - 19.2 percent, followed by alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks - 16.9 percent. Industrial food products are the only category which registered a drop in prices. The prices of these products dropped by 0.3 percent as against October last year. In the first ten months of 2000, retails prices increased by 5.9
percent while living costs increased slightly less (five percent)
as against October last year.
