ZAGREB, Nov 10 (Hina) - A Croatian state delegation appointed by duty by the Croatian government in charge of negotiations with the European Union on an agreement on stabilisation and association held its first meeting at the Foreign
Ministry, under the chairmanship of Foreign Minister Tonino Picula.

held its first meeting at the Foreign Ministry, under the

The meeting also focused on final preparations for drawing up a
platform for negotiations on operative details of the organisation
of all segments of the negotiating process, the Ministry said in a
statement Friday.
The negotiating delegation assessed preparations were being
carried out well and in line with set deadlines, the statement said,
adding the government would be submitted a special report at its
next session.
Participants of the meeting expressed satisfaction with the
content of Thursday's talks with EU representatives, French
Foreign Minister Hubert Vedrine and EU High Commissioner for
foreign affairs and security Javier Solana.
Vedrine and Solana arrived in Zagreb Thursday to speak with
Croatian officials about preparations on the Zagreb Summit to be
held on November 24.
The meeting at the Foreign Ministry was also attended by Croatian
Minister for European Integration Ivan Jakovcic, his assistant
Visnja Samardzija, assistant Economy Minister Olgica Spevec,
assistant Agriculture and Forestry Minister Miroslav Bozic,
assistant Foreign Minister Vladimir Drobnjak and ambassador at the
Foreign Ministry, Vladimir Metek.
