ZAGREB, Nov 8 (Hina) - Flood emergency measures were declared in Varazdin and Medjimurje counties in northern Croatia at 01.30 hours on Wednesday after the Drava river flow at Varazdin's hydropower plant surpassed 1,100 m3/sec. The
water flow was still above 1,100 m3/sec at 7 a.m., but with a tendency to drop, the State Information Centre said. Flood emergency measures were declared at 1 a.m. for the Zapresic and Samobor areas west of Zagreb, after the Sava river reached 452 cm, but were called off at 7 a.m. A wave is expected to reach the capital in the afternoon hours.(hina) ha
