ZAGREB, Oct 20 (Hina) - The first international congress of humanitarian associations of Danube River region countries, attended by representatives of humanitarian associations from Croatia, Slovenia, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Macedonia,
ended in Zagreb Friday, Croatia's humanitarian network said in a statement. Participants of the congress forwarded a request to Croatian President Stipe Mesic and Prime Minister Ivica Racan requesting that they be able to participate in the upcoming "Zagreb's summit". The humanitarians wish to inform the participants of the summit of greatest humanitarian problems in the region, such as the issue of missing persons and returnees, the issue of reconstruction and development, and civilian victims of the war.
