ZAGREB, Oct 19 (Hina) - Croatia's 'Agrokor' concern and trade
unions of the food processing industry on Thursday signed a
collective agreement by which workers gained the right to
participate in Agrokor's profit.
Workers will realise the right after Agrokor's assembly of stock
holders pass a decision, in a form of one-off payment, Agrokor
management board president Ivica Todoric said.
He believes that workers would most probably not be able to consume
the right in the next two-year period. Todoric added conditions for
its implementation should be created in that period.
The trade unions recognised Agrokor's seriousness and business
ambition, Todoric said, adding the concern had so far invested and
reinvested over DM400 million in its companies.
President of the trade union of agriculture, food processing and
tobacco industry Josip Pavic said only a standard part of the
collective agreement had been concluded, while a tariff part (the
one setting the price of work), would be established after
negotiations in each company individually.
President of the Trade Union Ana Knezevic said the collective
agreement should set an example to other joint stock companies.
