PULA, Oct 10 (Hina) - Istra County in the northern Adriatic is currently accommodating 9,636 mainly foreign tourists, 35 percent more than at the same time last year and 39 percent more than in 1998, the county Board of Tourism said
on Tuesday. The highest number of tourists, 4,984, has been recorded in Porec, a town on the peninsula's west coast. A total of 2,112,512 tourist arrivals were registered in Istra County in this year's first nine months, 26 percent more than over the same period in 1999 and 18 percent more than in 1998.
