OSIJEK, Oct 6 (Hina) - The Osijek-Baranja County police on Friday arrested 12 Serbs accused of war crimes against civilians in the eastern region of Baranja, the county police department reported. The apprehended persons currently are
at the Osijek County Court investigative department. Domagoj Resetar, attorney for three suspects, told Hina the arrested persons would be questioned on Monday and added they had been arrested in line with a decision on detention of January 19 1995. "That decision was stuck in the drawer for five and a half years," Resetar said, adding his clients "are not guilty of what they are being charged with," because "they wouldn't have been living in Baranja all these years if they were guilty." Asked why they were not processed until now, Resetar replied, "You better ask the court, or the Justice Ministry."(hina) rml
