CROATIA AND NORWAY COOPERATE ON ENERGY EFFICACY PROGRAMME ZAGREB, Oct 5 (Hina) - The Network of Industrial Energy Supply Efficacy (MIEE), national energy supply programme drawn up by Croatia's "Hrvoje Pozar" energy supply institute, by authority of the Government and in cooperation with Norway's institute for energy supply technology (IFE), was presented to Croatian business people and representatives of ministries and chambers of commerce by experts of both institutes Thursday. The principle of the programme setting up all users into a network, specifically the service and public sectors of industry, energy supply and technology experts and the relevant ministry. Such a network would enable a direct flow of information among them, curbing costs and time necessary for solving possible problems. The creation of a data base would facilitate the drafting of energy supply efficacy in individual companies. A similar programme has been carried out in Norway for years, with more than 500 companies in 13 sectors set up in the network. The MIEE is in fact a copy of the Norwegian model, officials of the Croatian institute said, adding it had been adapted to Croatia's energy supply and economic conditions. (hina) lml
