ZAGREB, Oct 5 (Hina) - The Croatian Co-operatives' Alliance (HZS) received a charter on admittance into the international alliance of co-operatives in Bratislava Thursday. The charter was handed to HZS secretary Anton Matijasevic
during the international association's annual assembly. Matijasevic stressed the co-operative movement was an unavoidable economic system in today's globalisation, which considered small-scale businesses and their interests. The international alliance of co-operatives is the oldest and biggest international non-government organisation founded in London in 1895 and was one of the first associations with the status of a United Nations advisor. It gathers 240 members from almost 100 countries and more than 740 million co-operatives. (hina) lml
