ZAGREB ZAGREB, Sept 29 (Hina) - More than a half a million packs of cigarettes and almost 13.5 kilograms of tobacco confiscated in illegal sales were burnt in Zagreb Friday. The cigarettes and tobacco, sold illegally, were confiscated
by inspectors of the Tax Administration in cooperation with police, Customs officials and financial police, who have been enacting increased joint measures since May to fight smugglers. In the past four months 418,675 packs of illegally sold cigarettes were confiscated in the Zagreb County area only. The cigarettes are mainly of domestic production, but also those marked with labels of Bosnia-Herzegovina and other neighbouring states which were imported into Croatia through illegal channels.
