ZAGREB, Sept 26 (Hina) - The president of the Croatian Arteriosclerosis Association, Zeljko Reiner, was elected president of the European Committee for the prevention of smoking at the proposal of the World Health Organisation. The
Committee, which held a session in Copenhagen on Monday, decided that Reiner should be elected president because he had initiated preparations for an international convention on the prevention of smoking, which is to start in mid-October in Geneva, as well as because of the fact that Croatia adopted a law limiting the use of tobacco during Reiner's mandate.(hina) rml
