ZAGREB, Sept 22 (Hina) - The Federation of Independent Trade Unions of Croatia (SSSH) on Friday dismissed media claims saying unions had agreed to an increase in the price of power. The SSSH is in no position to give consent for such
decisions nor has anyone requested it to do so, the federation said in a statement. The SSSH confirms that at the last meeting with its social partners they had discussed the restructuring and privatisation of public companies, but not an increase in the price of power. Emphasising that it opposed any attack on the living standards of workers and their families, the federation said it would undertake appropriate measures depending on the effect of the latest increase in the price of electricity. The decision on increasing the price of power was adopted by the government at Thursday's session.(hina) rml
