ZAGREB TO JOIN 'EUROPEAN CAR FREE DAY' INITIATIVE ON FRIDAY

ZAGREB, Sept 20 (Hina) - On the occasion of European Car Free Day (September 22), traffic in the downtown Zagreb will not be allowed from 09.00 am to 05.00 pm this Friday.#L# Croatia's Environmental Protection Ministry has published an educational leaflet "European Car Free Day" and will organise the central celebration in the 'Cvjetni' Square in the Croatian capital. This year 643 cities will participate in the action "In town, without my car". Last year the day was marked by 158 cities and towns in Italy and France. (hina) jn ms
