ZAGREB, Sept 19 (Hina) - Croatia's President Stipe Mesic on Tuesday decorated renowned scientist, geneticist and former table tennis player Zarko Dolinar on his 80th birthday.

In his successful career in sports, which spanned the years 1939-
1957, Dolinar won several medals at world championships and the
world champion in doubles title in 1954.
Dolinar was also given the highest Jewish recognition, the
Righteous Among the Nations title, for saving 350 Jews during the
Second World War. This recognition is bestowed upon Gentiles who
risked their lives to save Jews.
Dolinar is a human medicine specialist and is entitled to teach ex
cathedra on two colleges.
President Mesic decorated Dolinar with the Croatian Morning Star
order with the image of Franjo Bucar.
Dolinar has thus far been received by 25 heads of state.
