VARAZDIN, Sept 4 (Hina) - Novi Marof police early Monday morning stopped a van on state highway D-3, driving from Novi Marof to the northern Adriatic town of Varazdin, containing 18 foreign citizens. The illegals included 12 adults
and six children. The illegals were taken into custody in order for their identities to be established. After an investigation, it was established that all of the illegals are Iranian citizens, Varazdin Police said in a statement. Later this afternoon, the illegals were brought before the magistrate in Novi Marof, who fined them and order them to leave Croatia within 48 hours. He also banned the illegals from Croatia for one year. The police are still searching for the driver of the van.(hina) it
