Ivanisevic participated in a debate of parliamentary

"Parliaments and parliamentarians can and must assume a larger

millennium," Ivanisevic said. Their main tasks is strengthening
parliamentary democracy, she said, emphasising the achievements of

Ivanisevic dedicated part of her speech to the functioning of two-
chamber parliaments. She advocated two-chamber parliaments and the
role of the upper house as the place where democracy was
strengthened.
