GOSPIC AUTHORITIES ON LEVAR'S DEATH

GOSPIC, Aug 29 (Hina) - The town authorities of Gospic on Tuesday called on relevant state institutions to make public as soon as possible results of the conducted investigation in the death of Milan Levar. "Following the death of Milan Levar, and owing to different interpretations of this grievous event by the media, the local government of the town of Gospic calls on competent institutions of the law-based state to make the results of the investigation public as soon as possible," read a statement released by Gospic authorities. The local authorities share with Gospic citizens their concern that this distressing event could be politicized. Fighting for their independent Homeland, Gospic and their citizens showed their commitments to the creation of a law-based and democratic state. In this sense we give our unreserved support to all efforts of institutions of the Republic of Croatia aimed at the clarification of circumstances under which this grievous incident took place, read the statement signed by Gospic Mayor Milan Kolic.
