held at the Croatian Defence Ministry on Friday.
Croatian Armed Forces' Chief-of-Staff General Petar Stipetic told
the cadets to bravely face the challenges they had chosen, and a
deputy to the US Ambassador to Croatia, Charles English, welcomed
the cadets and congratulated them on passing difficult admission
exams.
"The Croatian army sees the education of its military personnel as a

gratitude to the United States for accepting Croatian cadets.
"Upon the completion of your education jobs at the Croatian Army
will be waiting for you and I hope you will contribute to securing
equality for our army in western associations," Stipetic said.
English said Croatian cadets represented the heart of the US-
Croatia cooperation in the area of military education, about which,
he said, Croatian President Stipe Mesic had spoken in Washington.
Croatia is the only country which has exceeded the limit set for
foreign cadets at US military academies and Croatian cadets will
join 20 cadets from other countries.
Deputy Defence Minister Zlatko Gareljic wished the cadets success
on behalf of Defence Minister Jozo Rados, adding 31 cadets from
Croatia were now attending US military schools.
Cadets Ivan Puhalo, Marina Jurcic, Bikola Bokulic and Davor Sprljan
will attend the military college of South Carolina. Hrvoje
Glasnovic, Maja Cavlovic and Ilija Krklec will attend Virginia
Military College and Danijela Tunjic will attend North Dakota
