SPEAKER ANNOUNCES DYNAMIC AUTUMN FOR PARLIAMENT

ZAGREB, July 19 (Hina) - Croatian parliament speaker Zlatko Tomcic said on Wednesday a positive assessment could be given parliament's work over the last six months in spite of some oversights. He announced a dynamic autumn for parliament, with the government's macro-economic strategy to be considered at the first or second autumn sessions. Parliament is also expected to pass laws on the auditing of privatisation and on Croatian Radio Television, even though constitutional changes will represent the main preoccupation, Tomcic told Hina and Croatian Radio. Although sometimes pressed for time, we managed to do everything that was necessary for the state to enter serious economic and social reforms, to restore Croatia's position in the international community, to enter constitutional changes," said Tomcic. He added 213 decisions, laws, and conclusions had been reached. (hina) ha mm
