"Regional cooperation is one of the most important tasks of the Croatian Government. The results of this policy are visible: Croatia is very active in the Stability Pact, is included in the Adriatic-Ionian initiative and is soon expected to be associated with the trilateral group (Italy, Slovenia, Hungary), is active in the working community of the Danube regions and the association Alps-the Adriatic. opening the "Croatian SECI" seminar which aims at the promotion of
cooperation between Croatia and the SECI.

Croatia is interested in infrastructure relations, the
environmental protection, and the promotion of small and medium
entrepreneurship in the region and this is what the SECI aims at.
Croatian First Deputy Prime Minister Goran Granic called upon SECI
heads to direct their activities at the encouragement of countries
in the region and to establish an institution for the solving of own
problems, further development and approaching the European Union.
The seminar in Zagreb is attended by officials of the Government,
Foreign and Interior Ministries, the Economy Ministry, the
Transportation Ministry and the Ministry for the Environmental
Protection. Also present at the seminar are SECI representatives,
headed by main coordinator Erhard Busek, as well as representatives
of the United Nations and numerous Croatian companies.
