ZAGREB, June 26 (Hina) - A Croatian Parliament Deputy Speaker and chairman of the Committee on Foreign Affairs, Zdravko Tomac, on Monday held talks with Russian Ambassador Eduard Leonydovich Kuzmin on cooperation between the two
countries and Croatia's support for Russia's nomination in the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE). Tomac promised Croatia would support the re-election of Russia's representative as OSCE vice-president, the Sabor's public relations office reported. Croatia wants every other form of cooperation with the Russian Federation, Tomac said, adding Croatia's goal was the European Union and NATO, but it was aware of Russia's position in the world and the Balkans. The Russian Ambassador informed Tomac about the recent activities in the Duma, such as the reorganisation of the upper house and the adoption of a new law on the establishment of a Federation Council.(hina) rml
