SIBENIK/ZIRJE, June 20 (Hina) - Dalmatian islands and coastal towns will be connected with seven new speed ferry lines. The new lines are unprofitable and are financed by the state budget, however, with time it could become a
commercial activity, Croatian Transport and Maritime Minister Alojz Tusek said Tuesday during the promotional ride on the line between the central Adriatic island of Zirje and Sibenik. The Government managed to make agreement with carriers for seven out of 11 lines that were planned and which will be financed by the state budget with about 30 million kuna (DM7.5 million). The transport is agreed for the period of five years and during the entire year and not only during the tourist season, Tusek stressed.(hina) it jn.
