ZAGREB, June 20 (Hina) - The Croatian Foreign Ministry on Tuesday issued a statement expressing dismay at a tragedy which happened in Britain's port of Dover on Monday, when 58 corpses were discovered in a refrigerator trailer truck
with Dutch licence plates. "Regardless of their nationality, the casualties are the victims of trade with humans and human suffering, against which all European countries should unite," the statement reads. "The quest of the poor for a better living and dignity is a challenge which the wealthier and more powerful ones should help solve," the statement said. Croatia, as a country with thousands of kilometres of border, is ready to participate in finding a solution to this problem, the statement concluded.(hina) mm rml
