ZAGREB ZAGREB, June 6 (Hina) - The Day of Croatian Diplomacy (June 7) will marked on Friday with a discussion of experts, the meeting being dubbed "Croatian Diplomacy on the Threshold of the 21st century". Foreign Minister Tonino Picula is expected to address the conference, and attending will be several Croatian diplomats, scientists, politicians and representatives of the diplomatic corps in Croatia. Croatia's accession into the Partnership for Peace, the European Commission suggestion for the start of negotiations on the signing of the Association and Stability agreement between the EU and Croatia and the upcoming joining of Croatia into the World Trade Organisation are the most important post-election achievements of Croatian diplomacy. The date of the Day of Croatian diplomacy was set by the date of a letter of Pope John VIII addressed to Croatian Prince Branimir, Bishop Teodizije, the priesthood and people on June 7
