ZAGREB, June 1 (Hina) - Croatian Foreign Minister Tonino Picula on Friday received the speaker of the Austrian Parliament, Heinz Fischer, who is heading an Austrian parliamentary delegation to an official visit to Croatia, the Foreign
Ministry said in a statement. According to Fischer, political relations between Austria and Croatia are excellent, and economic relations could be better. Picula called on Austria to support democratic reforms in Croatia with concrete economic investments and informed his Austrian guests that the Croatian Government had at its last session held in Vukovar adopted a bill which will be forwarded to the Parliament. The bill facilitates and stimulates foreign investments into Croatian business. Fischer pledged he would relay Croatia's initiatives to Austria, and called on Minister Picula to hold a lecture on Croatia in Vienna, which he accepted, the statement said.(hina) lml jn
