BELGRADE, May 31 (Hina) - Croatia's Ambassador to Yugoslavia, Zvonimir Markovic, on Tuesday organised a reception at Belgrade's Hyatt Hotel on the occasion of Independence Day. Representatives of Yugoslavia's public and cultural life
and high representatives of diplomatic missions expressed congratulations on the occasion of Independence Day and Croatia's admission to NATO's Partnership for Peace programme, as well as democratic changes in Croatia. Attending the reception was also the head of the Yugoslav Foreign Ministry's Directorate for Neighbouring Countries, Vladimir Stanimirovic, and the head of the office for relations between former Yugoslav republics, Dragan Veselinovic. Present were also heads of most opposition parties and coalitions, the coadjutor of the Belgrade archdiocese, Stanislav Hocevar, and representatives of the Catholic church and the Croat minority.
