ZAGREB, May 17 (Hina) - The Croatian Helsinki Committee (HHO) on Wednesday assessed that vice president of the Croatian National Sabor Baltazar Jalsovec violated the Croatian Constitution by his speech on the Bleiburg field held as a
part of the marking of the 55th anniversary of the tragedy the Croatian people suffered in Bleiburg field and the Way of the Cross on Sunday, May 14. He reminded that Jalsovec said that a seed of a free Croatia had been planted in the Bleiburg, the HHO said in today's statement adding that Jalsovec reiterated his standpoint a day after in an interview for daily "Novi List" saying that everyone who wore the Croatian uniform fought for the Croatian State. The HHO stressed that such a connection between the Independent State of Croatia and today's Croatia is the violation of the Croatian Constitution and the promotion of national, ideological and political intolerance.
