ZAGREB, April 23 (Hina) - The Zagreb-based publishing house "Golden marketing" presented the book "Diplomacy" by Henry Kissinger in Zagreb last Thursday. This is the second capital work of a distinguished US politician in Croatian
after "The Big Chessboard" by Zbigniew Brzezinski. Kissinger's book is believed to be his most representative work, in which he describes the historical and the modern period in international relations, the development and role of diplomacy, as well as diplomatic developments which preceded the world order of today. Henry Kissinger (born in 1923), a US politician and diplomat, has
been a university professor at Harvard since 1959; between 1969 and
1975 he was the US President's special advisor on national
security. Between 1973 and 1977 he was Secretary of State in the
administration of Presidents Nixon and Ford. He was one of the chief
negotiators between the warring parties in the Vietnam war, for
which he received the Nobel Peace Prize for 1973, which he shared
with North Vietnamese minister Le Duc Tho.
